How does the CoronaCheck app work?

1. Download the app in the Apple App Store or in the Google Play Store.
2. Open the app and click ‘add certificate’. Choose what you want to make a certificate of.
3. Details of vaccinations and tests taken by the GGD can be retrieved by logging in with DigiD. Have you been tested at another healthcare provider than GGD? Then you received a retrievalcode which you can use to retrieve your test details in the app.
4. Check the retrieved details. Are they correct? Then click ‘make certificate’
5. You can now use your certificate. Have your QR code scanned at the entrance of events or at the border. Always take a proof of identity with you as well.

Travelling abroad? Always check if you have the right certificate before departure. You can find the most recent information at Netherlands Worldwide.

If you’ve had new vaccinations or tests in the future, the app won’t retrieve that data automatically. Please again login with DigiD to retrieve the new details in the app.
